Surrounded by white sand beaches, lush tropical vegetation and the blue waters of Banderas Bay on the Pacific Ocean,Punta Mita is known as one of the most luxurious resort communities in Mexico. Couples wanting privacy, elegance, and five-star service may consider prestigious properties such as the St Regis, the One and Only Mandarina or one of many lavish private villas. Amy + Mark chose the award-winning Four Seasons Punta Mita, one of the most romantic hotels in the Puerto Vallarta area. We love photographing weddings here, and this celebration was one of our favorites. From the couple’s “first touch” with handwritten letters and tequila, to their Las Cuevas beach ceremony, to their joyous sunset portrait session on a clifftop, to their first dance under the stars, their wedding day was filled with love and joy.
There are so many reasons to have your celebrations at The Four Seasons Punta Mita; our top two are below!
Two incredible beach ceremony locations: Las Manzanillas Beach and Las Cuevas Beach. Manzanillas is the perfect location for an small oceanside wedding of up to fifty guests. Like its name suggests, the beach’s backdrop is a grove of manzanilla trees that look so romantic when lit with hanging chandeliers or candle lanterns. The stone walkway surrounded by lush vegetation makes for a beautiful bridal processional. This beach is very private; you and your guests will be the only ones there. Cuevas Beach is much larger, accommodating seating for ceremony and reception for up to 350 guests. The bride enters down a wide and vibrant yellow staircase to an expansive view of the ocean - a dramatic entrance for the bride before walking down the sandy aisle of the beach.
Breathtaking locations for your wedding photography. The natural beauty at the Four Seasons is dramatic and varied. In addition to palm tree lined white sand beaches, the five star resort offers lush jungle settings, a riverside garden under the stars, and our favorite, The Rock, a breathtaking cliffside lawn high above the ocean. This location is perfect for an elopement, an intimate wedding of up to 12 people, or as a setting for portraits. We photographed the couple here after their ceremony during golden hour and sunset; the 360 degree views are incredible!
