There aren't many places like the One&Only Palmilla. Lush tropical grounds, turquoise waters along the Sea of Cortez, and classic Mexican design can all be found here. A+B's wedding was rich in elegance and authenticity, a gorgeous destination wedding that was a pleasure to photograph.
The luxurious One&Only Palmilla has vibrant history. Built in 1956, in the beginning it was only accessible by yachts or private planes. To this day One&Only Palmilla is among the top luxury wedding venues in Cabo and, in fact, all Mexico, receiving numerous awards by prestigious publications and picked as readers' top destinations.
One&Only Palmilla combines all the elements that make up for the perfect destination wedding. Truly extraordinary, though, is the historic chapel that sets this venue apart from many others. With its white arched walls, a bell tower, and stunning stone steps leading up to the chapel, this is a truly unique location.
The unbelievably rich foliage that encompasses One&Only Palmilla means that you don't have to look far for breathtaking backdrops. Some of our favourite images from this wedding are of A+B’s First Look together. The couple had a private and emotional meeting before their ceremony along a palm-tree lined pathway between their villas. Warm sunlight peeks through the leaves of majestic palm trees as they embrace and share their love for each other and excitement to be married.
An outdoor ceremony by the chapel can host up to 240 people, and an outdoor ceremony was exactly what A+B went for. It was impossible to not be in awe seeing the sumptuous white florals that were definitely the main decorative feature during the ceremony, complementing the intricate garden with a stone fountain. It is always a pleasure to photograph a ceremony that is so rich in details.
After the ceremony, the wedding party was greeted by a full mariachi band, dressed to the occasion. What a fun way to celebrate the couple’s marriage! Everyone radiated absolute elegance.
An outdoor dinner setting was accompanied by glorious views of an infinity pool overlooking the sea. Another intricate element to add an extra dimension were Mexican lanterns that truly sparkled in the dusk. And that wasn't the only thing that sparkled. During their first dance, A+B were surrounded by countless sparklers bringing even more smiles and laughter to everyone present. We just love the deep black and white look of the photographs during that moment.
